Our Tangen Home represents the dwelling of the Norwegian family that owns the Implement Dealer in the 1876 town of Walnut Hill. A dinner here will give you a glimpse into the life of a middle-class family of the time, as well as a delicious home-cooked meal. You’ll eat in the elegant Victorian-style dining room, then move to the parlor to play period games.
Meals are served family-style, so everyone at the table eats from the same menu. Main course depends on date.
Recommended for ages 12 and up.
PLEASE NOTE: You’ll meet your host inside the Visitor Center, 11121 Hickman. From the Visitor Center, guests will walk about 100 yards to the home, mostly on boardwalk. Please wear appropriate layers and comfortable walking shoes or boots. The home is heated.
