School Field Trips connect youth of all ages to Midwestern rural life experiences. Offered in spring and fall during our regular season, these curriculum-connected scheduled tours are based on both national and state standards in social studies, and other curriculum areas. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance, and subject to availability.
Note: You must have a minimum of 12 people in your group to qualify for a group tour discount.
Exploration programs are “hands-on, hands-in” programs designed to give students a unique learning experience about the history of farming and rural life in Iowa. All programs are 2-3 hours in length and require 3 adults, 1 admitted free of charge. Reservations must be made at least three weeks in advance, and are subject to availability.
Move from site to site at your own pace through this self-guided visit. Group pricing is available for groups of 12 or more. To get started, fill out the group visit interest form at least two weeks in advance. If you have questions, please email groups@lhf.org or call 515.278.5286 ext. 123.
Living History Farms’ Homeschool Days are the perfect opportunity for families to learn together! You and your children will have the opportunity to tour the museum’s many historic areas, participate in hands-on activities, and have fun!
