The following tours and programs are available to preschool and day care providers, scout groups, and other youth groups.

Exploration programs are “hands-on, hands-in” programs designed to give students a unique learning experience about the history of farming and rural life in Iowa. All programs are 2-3 hours in length and require 3 adults, (teacher plus two additional adults), admitted free of charge. Reservations must be made three weeks in advance.

LHF is proud to offer several outreach programs, which involve a mixture of multimedia presentation, artifacts, and hands-on activities, built around a central theme. These programs are intended for children in grades 3-6. Each session can accommodate 25 students. Reservations must be made three weeks in advance.
