Sponsor a Student

For just $8, you can provide an unforgettable educational experience for an Iowa student. Each year, more than 20,000 students from throughout our state enjoy hands-on experiences at Living History Farms that bring history and other subjects to life. We charge less than half of the real cost of these programs to keep them affordable for schools and families. Gifts from companies and individuals such as you cover the additional cost of those experiences and make it possible for us to offer them at the lowest-price possible. It all happens one student at a time, with gifts of $8 or more.

Day Camp Scholarship

Help us build our Day Camp Scholarship fund! Scholarships are needs-based and a limited number are awarded each year until the fund is depleted. Help us build our fund for children who would otherwise miss out on these wonderful experiences.

General Operations

To a greater extent than is the case with other cultural attractions or nonprofits, the Living History Farms experience depends on people. It’s the people who greet you at admissions, drive our tractors, and sell you lemon drops, rock candy and sarsaparilla in our store. It’s the people in the funny clothes who interact with you at every site and take care of our animals that make this place special and unique.
