Program Descriptions

Halloween Traditions • October 30

Merry not scary fun just in time for Halloween!  Where do jack-o-lanterns come from?  Why do we trick-or-treat or dress up in costumes?  Read some funny Halloween stories and try your hand at holiday themed crafts.  Then tour the town to see the decorations.

Fiona’s Lace • November 6

Many families have stories that are passed down. Come hear a story about one particular Irish family and why lace is an important part of their family. Afterward lace your own heartwarming craft before heading to the Flynn Mansion to hear family stories of a historic local family.

Before We Eat • November 13

It’s the time of year where many people are shopping for big family meals and thinking about all the things they are thankful for. Come hear about all the people that are involved in getting food on your tables at home. Visit the General Store to learn about shopping back in 1876 (may not be too different from now). Share what you are thankful for with a fun craft.
