2017 Photography Day List of Classes

Enjoy a day of photography workshops in Iowa’s largest outdoor classroom! Attend classes with local photography experts and test out the newest camera equipment from photography vendors. Amateurs as well as professionals are encouraged to attend.

Capture stunning images of our scenic gardens, grounds and buildings, and catch the action at a historic baseball game at 1:30pm. All workshops are included with admission price to Living History Farms.

Don’t forget to bring your camera!


Avoid long lines and purchase your tickets in advance. Tickets available online August 1 at 10am – September 14 at noon. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Doors open at 8:30 am.

Two Day Pass (Adult 13+) $25.00
One Day Pass (Adult 13+) $15.50
One Day Pass (Child 2-12) $9.00

Event takes place rain or shine. No refunds.

Two Day Passes allow you to visit on Sunday, September 17 at a discounted rate, to practice your photography skills and visit the Farms. Workshops and vendors will be on Saturday only.


A limited number of lunches will be available for Photography Day, catered by HyVee. Lunches will be available for pre-order starting August 1, 2017.

You can also find lunch at Living History Farms’ Flynn Cafe, bring a picnic lunch, or leave the museum for lunch and return (just keep your admission sticker!).
