Fall Barnyard Readers

squashHarvest and Holidays

The seasons are changing on the farms, and so are the routines! It’s time for fall on the farms! Our Fall Barnyard Readers programs focus on the harvest routines and holiday traditions of living on a farm or rural Iowa. Together with your 3, 4, or 5-year old, gather to read a book or two about the featured theme and visit one of our historic farms or houses.

Learn more about the theme you’ve just read about, and participate in hands-on activities. Reminder, dress for the weather, as the program takes place both indoors and outside.
