Visitors at Family Halloween

Details

Start:
Thursday, October 19
End:
Sunday, October 22

October 19-22, 26-29, 5:30pm-8:30pm

Horse-drawn wagon rides, storytellers, trick-or-treating, pumpkin bowling, and games delight all ages during this non-scary family event. On October 20, enjoy “spooky” stories with IPTV’s Dan Wardell from 6:30-8:30pm in the Visitor Center!

Enjoy free popcorn and soft drinks at our Snack Shop. Black Silo Roasting will also offer coffee for sale each night.

CANCELLED SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21:

Due to anticipated thunderstorms this evening, Family Halloween at Living History Farms will be cancelled for tonight, Saturday, October 21. The safety of all of our guests, volunteers, and staff is treated with the highest importance and we want to ensure that everyone in attendance receives the same great quality experience each night of the event. We will resume Family Halloween tomorrow, Sunday, October 22 and next weekend Thursday-Sunday, October 26-29.

Theme Nights

Need some costume inspiration? Take a look at our theme for each night!
  • Thursdays: Double Treats and Athletes – Get twice as many treats, dress up as your favorite athlete, and meet a local mascot!
  • Fridays: Doggone Scary – bring your furry friend along (in costume!) for trick-or-treating. Get treats for your dog at the historic Vet Clinic in our 1875 Town, sponsored by Just Paws.
  • Saturdays: Fairytales and Super Heroes – meet your favorite characters and dress up in your best superhero and fairytale costumes.
  • Sundays: Farmer & Friends – Dress up as an animal on the farm, a farmer, or Victorian style like a person in the past! Wear your best “Living History Farms” themed costume for trick-or-treating, and stop by our petting zoo to see some farm animals!
