Celebrate! Fall Homeschool Day is a chance to celebrate many milestones. The Flynn Farm, established in 1870, is now 150 years old. Women received the right to vote 100 years ago, thanks to the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution. And Living History Farms is celebrating its 50th year as a museum this year.
Of course, celebrations come in all shapes and sizes, and are held for many reasons, large and small. Fall was, and still is, a time to celebrate the harvest. Learn about celebrations throughout time as you and your family do a scavenger hunt, see historic demonstrations, and tour the special exhibit on Living History Farms’ 50 years.
We suggest that you plan at least 3-4 hours for your experience. The museum is open from 9:00am – 4:00pm. Demonstrations will take place from 9:30am – 11:30am and from 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
