Full day: 9am–4pm
Sessions 3–5

How does your garden grow? Help tend vegetable and flower gardens and explore the role of critters in the garden. Find out why some creatures we consider foes are really friends. Delve into the world of pollinators and learn how farming has changed over the past century by visiting our historic sites. Create sustainable garden art and make garden-inspired snacks to share at the end of the week in our garden-themed Art Show for parents.

The Art Show takes place Friday at 3:15pm at the Exhibit Center. Come to the camper drop-off/pick-up area, and you will be directed to the show.

Note: There are two sections of this camp. When registering, please indicate if your child is attending with a friend; we will do our best to place them together. (Details about these requests below.)

Full day: 9am–4pm
Sessions 1–2 and 6–10

Imagine what life was like for kids at different times in history—at home, school, work, and play. Visit different parts of the museum and experience how farms, homes, and businesses have changed over time. Try your hand as an apprentice in one of the shops in town. Create crafts from different times using sustainable resources. End the week by learning about circuses in the 19th century and show off what you learned in a performance for your special adults on Friday!

The circus takes place Friday at 3pm at the Flynn Barn. Check in at the Visitor Center off Hickman. There will be a parade from the Visitor Center to the Barn at 2:50pm.

Note: There are two sections of this camp. When registering, please indicate if your child is attending with a friend; we will do our best to place them together. (Details about these requests below.)

Wait list

  • If a camp session is full, you may fill out this form to be placed on a wait list.
  • Include the program and date that you are interested in attending.

Group Requests

When we have multiple camps of the same grade level, we cannot guarantee your child will be placed with friends. However, we will make every effort to accommodate up to two requests. Please keep the following in mind:

  • Campers must be registered for the same camp, in the same week, and be in the same grade.
  • Camp is about making friends. When large groups of friends are together, other campers can feel left out. We will split requests larger than 3 friends.

  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
