GENERAL INFORMATION: Living History Farms is a non-profit educational historical museum. It is a 550-acre, open-air facility that tells the story of the changes in Midwestern agriculture and rural life. Historical interpreters dressed in period clothing recreate the daily routines of early Iowans on three farm sites (1700 Ioway Indian Farm, 1850 Pioneer Farm and 1900 Farm) and in an 1875 frontier town. General Touring Season is May 1 through the third Sunday in October. Winter Program Season runs from November - April. If you would like to join our team, feel free to download, fill out and mail in our employment application form. Living History Farms also has many volunteer opportunities available. Do You Need 6 Hours Of History Credit Tuition-Free? We also have paid internships available.
