

Bring your blanket and enjoy an evening horse and wagon ride this fall at Living History Farms! Guests meet at the Murray Conference Center to board an open air wagon pulled by Percheron draft horses. Munch popcorn as you take a ride through the fields and country roads of Living History Farms in the crisp fall air! After your ride, join other guests for hot cider or hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies. Sip your cider or hot chocolate under the Harvest moon and share stories or play an old fashioned lawn game.
Program Details:
What: Evening Horse and Wagon Ride on Living History Farms property, followed by cookies and hot cider or hot chocolate.
Times: Program times are 5 pm- 6:45 pm and 7 pm- 8:45 pm. (Wagon ride is approximately one hour in length, followed by a half hour for cookies, hot beverages and outdoor lawn games.)
Dates: Programs are available for boarding at either 5 pm or 7 pm on Saturday, September 8, 15, 22 or Sunday, September 30 or October 14.
Who: Wagon excursions can accommodate a group of up to 20 participants. 20 guests are considered a full wagon. Smaller groups will be scheduled together to create a full wagon. Children and adults are welcome; one adult is required for every eight children under the age of 13.
Where: Guests park and meet the wagon at the Murray Conference Center at 5 pm, or 7 pm. Wagon ride travels over LHF’s farm fields and inner road system, returning to the Conference Center for refreshments.
Outdoor Conditions: Program takes place outdoors at dusk and wagons are open air. Guests are encouraged to dress in layers for outdoor weather. A blanket or throw for the wagon ride is encouraged. Modern indoor restrooms will be available at the beginning and ending of the program at the Conference Center. Program will take place rain or shine, except in conditions of lightning or severe storm. Cookies and beverages will be served outdoors at picnic tables next to the Murray Conference Center. Lanterns will be placed on picnic tables and each guest will receive a personal safety light stick.
Reservations: Advanced reservations are required. Program must be reserved by the Tuesday prior to the program. Earlier registration is encouraged to ensure program availability. Pricing: $15.00 per person over age 2, non-members
$13.50 per person over age 2, museum members (Members enter code LHFmember10 at checkout and include your membership ID#)

Cancellations: No refund is given for a cancellation made less than 7 days prior to your wagon ride. Cancellations occurring at least 7 days prior to your wagon ride will be refunded, less a 35 percent administration fee. Cancellations by Living History Farms will be either rescheduled or refunded in full. If a wagon ride runs as scheduled, no refund will be given for your absence.
