Living History Farms has now closed for the 2016 General Season. We will open for the 2017 season on May 1.
We have several programs and events when we are closed for general touring.

Please arrive by 2pm to tour the entire museum.

Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult throughout their visit.

Memberships can be purchased online, at Admissions when you arrive, or by calling the Administration Office during weekday business hours at 515-278-5286.
Visitors are welcome to bring in their own food and beverage to enjoy at Living History Farms. Visitors are also welcome to leave and come back the same day. For your convenience, we offer two food options. The Flynn Cafe, on the north side of the Flynn Mansion, offers hot and cold food options, including sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, and pizza. The Flynn Cafe is open daily, except Sundays, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. The Snack Shop, located in the town of Walnut Hill, offers many vending machine snack and beverage options. The Snack Shop is open during our regular business hours.
