New Social Studies Standards

On October 11, 2016, the Iowa Department of Education released a draft of revised statewide standards for social studies. The draft standards outlines what students K-12 should know and be able to do in social studies from kindergarten through 12th grade.

To read the department's news release and for more information on the proposed new standards, visit the Iowa Dept. of Education website >

Living History Farms is being proactive and reviewing all K-12 programming for schools to see how we align with the proposed new standards. Watch this space for more information throughout the 2016-2017 school year.
