On October 11, 2016, the Iowa Department of Education released a draft of revised statewide standards for social studies. The draft standards outlines what students K-12 should know and be able to do in social studies from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Living History Farms is being proactive and reviewing all K-12 programming for schools to see how we align with the proposed new standards. Watch this space for more information throughout the 2016-2017 school year.
Who is eligible: teachers in Polk, Dallas, and Warren counties.
Who is eligible: Any teacher who integrates agriculture into the classroom.
Who is eligible: Teachers grades 3 - 10 in Iowa school districts.
Who is eligible: Any school within the 37-county heritage area and is teaching about agriculture by visiting one of the Partner Sites, including Living History Farms.
