Come graze with us, celebrating Iowa's rich culinary bounty with unique monthly tastings in our Visitor Center. Gather your friends and explore local food and beverage specialties, and talk with winemakers, micro-brewers, artisan bakers, and more in a casual open house atmosphere. These food and beverage showcases benefit Living History Farms.

General Admission $20.00, LHF Members $16.00. Advanced tickets recommended. Photo ID required for admittance.

Farms Uncorked

Come sample a wide variety of native Iowa wines and meet with local vintners. Enjoy tasty bites, brief info-sessions on wine-related topics, and shop the Marketplace Gift Store for your favorites. Taste samples from Allspice, C and S Brew Supply, Cedar Ridge Winery, Chocolaterie Stam, Covered Bridges Winery, HoQ, Jethro's BBQ, La Mie, La Quercia, Penoach Vineyard & Winery, Prairie Moon Winery and VineyardsSnus Hill Winery, and Train Wreck Winery.



Spirits and Sweets

Dare to pair one of a kind mini-tini's mixed by Iowa artisan distillers with bite sized sweets and savory items created by local eateries. Visit with distillers about the process of making spirits with Iowa corn.

Come meet the people behind your favorite Iowa craft brews, and explore the art of home-brewing with local experts. Enjoy a variety of micro-brew tastings from across the state, and sample fresh artisan breads. Complimentary snacks and soft drinks are included.

Possibly THE best comfort food in its classic form, this versatile favorite also has endless possibilities well suited for the grown-up palate. Local Chefs and select Amateurs will compete for the crown of Big Cheese in front of the Cheese Board (aka Judges Panel). Categories include: Classic, Glorified and Anything Goes. Samples will be shared so cheese heads may cast their votes for the Cheese Heads Choice Award. Cheese is the big wheel at this event, but other savory bites and beverages will also be provided.
