Gather your friends and explore local food and beverage specialties, and talk with winemakers, micro-brewers, artisan bakers, and more in a casual open house atmosphere. These food and beverage showcases benefit Living History Farms.
Come sample a wide variety of native Iowa wines and meet with local vintners. Enjoy tasty bites, brief info-sessions on wine-related topics, and shop the Marketplace Gift Store for your favorites. New partners this year are Allspice, bringing a fine array of their flavored olive oils and balsamics, Dale Valley and Schade Creek Wineries. Enjoy blush wine gelato from Chocolaterie Stam, bread from La Mie, and prosciutto from La Quercia. Spirits and SweetsDare to pair one of a kind mini-tini's mixed by Iowa artisan distillers with bite sized sweets created by local eateries. Visit with distillers about the process of making spirits with Iowa corn. New this year is grappa with coffee from Broadbent Distillery. Event partners; among others will include: The Bake Shoppe, Cache Bake Shoppe, Cedar Ridge Distillery, Mississippi River Distilling Company, Picket Fence Creamery, Red China Bistro, and Sweet Binney's.
Sample over 20 different Iowa micro-brewed beers along with fresh artisan breads and other goodies, including bites from Gusto Pizza! Explore that art of home brewing with the experts from Beer Crazy. New breweries attending this year are: 515 Brewing Company, Confluence Brewing, Exile Brewing, Great River Brewery, and Twisted Vine. Other event partners include: Back Pocket Brewing, The Beer Bread Company, Cabot Creamery, Doll Distributing, DMACC Culinary Arts, Iowa Brewers Union, La Mie, Madhouse, Millstream, Peace Tree Brewing, Raccoon River Brewing Company, South Union, and Sweet Binney's.
