More than 40 years ago, Dr. William Murray had a vision for a 500 acre tract of land located just outside Des Moines: create a living history museum to preserve and teach generations to come about America's agricultural heritage. Today, Living History Farms is a - renowned not-for-profit agricultural museum that brings that vision to life. The foresight of Dr. Murray still guides the museum as we continue to educate, entertain and connect people of all ages to Midwestern rural life experiences.
